(the Power in a Free-Range Hen Nugget)

ree

No matter the state of demand on these Golden nuggets....Eggs have gotten a bad rap over the years—blamed for cholesterol, feared and sidelined in favor of over-processed protein powders. But it's time to bring them back into the spotlight, because these little orbs are one of nature's most nutrient-dense gifts.

Why a powerhouseyou ask?

  • Complete Protein: Each egg delivers all 9 essential amino acids, making it a gold standard for muscle repair, hormone production, and cellular function.

  • Choline-Rich: A vital nutrient for brain health, liver function, and nervous system integrity. Most people are deficient—and eggs are one of the top sources.

  • Good Fats & Fat-Soluble Vitamins: Especially when pasture-raised, egg yolks are loaded with vitamins A, D, E, and K2 (reminder, those are all wildly critical for hormone health and immune regulation).

  • Eye & Skin Health: Packed with lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants that protect the eyes and skin from oxidative stress.

Why Free-Range or Pasture-Raised is

Non-Negotiable:

Conventional eggs from caged chickens simply are not the same food. Hens raised on pasture (or my little backyard) scratch in the dirt, peck at bugs including Wood Ticks, and soak in the sun—resulting in eggs with:

  • More Omega-3s

  • Higher Vitamin D

  • Better taste and richer color

  • Ethical sourcing that respects both the land and the animal

Want a liquid recipe

of Gold?

Upgrade your mornings before you fire up that Cast Iron Skillet (get yours now if you don't yet have one). Try this nourishing raw elixir I make a few times a week:

B's Morning Mind Fuel

  • 1 cup raw milk (or your favorite high-quality milk option)

  • 1 organic egg yolk (from pasture-raised hens ideally)

  • Dash of Ceylon cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp Lion’s Mane mushroom powder

  • (Optional: pinch of sea salt or a bit of honey if you like it sweet)

Blend gently. Sip slowly. It’s brain fuel, hormone support, and gut love in a glass.

Note: Always ensure your eggs are fresh, from a trusted source, and handled properly if consuming raw.
